Five Chapters · From Mission Outpost To AI Era

San Francisco Was Built By Turning Chaos Into Infrastructure.

Five chapters from mission outpost to AI-era deployment company.

The city’s defining moves were never just monuments. They were operating systems: a mission and port, a buried waterfront, a civic spine, a rebuild after rupture, bridges across impossible gaps. The next layer is operational.

Mission Dolores / Yerba Buena Cove

First ledgers, made legible.

  1. Field Note

Before San Francisco had its name, it had a mission, a cove, and records to keep.

Mission San Francisco de Asís was founded in 1776. Yerba Buena grew around the cove before officially taking the San Francisco name in 1847. The city begins here: small, manual, local, and already trying to make people, land, goods, and claims legible.
